With the development of city, downtown is increasingly expanding its area horizontally, as well as scaling up vertically. Accordingly, a growing number of high-rising and super high-rising buildings are constructed. However, these buildings and other ones with complicated structures also bring problems which need to be solved for structural engineers. Currently, it should be noticed that the idea of’Three levels, two stages’cannot satisfy the requirements of the new ranges of new buildings. Performance based seismic design is a more rational idea for modern constructions, and it has drawn the attention in many countries. In this thesis, a300-meter-tall super high-rise structure is selected as the background to conduct key analysis on structured seismic performance to put forward relevant design. In this thesis, the main research contents are as follows:(1) Introduce the theoretical background and the significance of the research, present situation of development of the seismic design based on performance. Overview introduces Twin Towers-South Tower300meters tall building structural engineering and present the performance level structure to be reached.(2) The performance design objects and the related methodology will be discussed. Besides, considering this idea has been included in <Echnical specification for concrete structures of tall building> and<Code for seismic design of building>, the differences in these two regulations will be demonstrated and compared as well.(3) Using PKPM and MIDAS software for earthquake response spectrum analysis, make normal design for Component,Inspect whether the structural indicators meet the requirements of specification. (4) Using EPDA and MIDAS software making elastic-plastic time history analysis in the Fortification earthquake and The rare earthquake.(5) According to the performance target setting requirements, checking structural components.
