Firstly,the paper introduces the twin tower on an enlarged base in terms of definition,composition,loading features and seismic reaction.Then the paper illustrates the background,development,definition and method of performance-based seismic design specifically.The content mentioned above is included in the introduction chapter,supporting the following main body theoretically.After introducing the condition and deign elements of the project—a high-rise twin towels on the enlarged base beyond code-limits,system info of performance-based seismic design are proposed officially.According to the "anti-seismic regulation" of China,this paper puts forward reasonable seismic performance requirements and clarifies the seismic grade of the project,specific contents of the seismic performance-based design,theoretical framework of earthquake-resistant performance design,seismic fortification level,structure Performance level and target,seismic performance-based design steps,performance-based design standards and objectives,the overall seismic performance objectives of the project and the specific performance objectives of the various components respectively.In the seismic analysis of the structure,the project is analyzed in terms of small earthquake elastic analysis,a supplemental calculation of the elastic time history analysis,the overturning moment and the shear force adjustment,the middle earthquake analysis,the large earthquake analysis and the comfort analysis.During the process of small earthquake analysis,the ratio of axial compression,effective mass coefficient,period ratio,displacement ratio and displacement angle,stiffness ratio,shear ratio and floor shear capacity ratio of the structures are checked respectively.In the calculation of the elastic time history analysis,the calculation of the base shear force and the calculation of the seismic effect of the structural layer are carried out for the two single towers respectively.In the process of middle earthquake analysis,the non-yielding middle earthquake test,elastic middle earthquake test and elastic middle earthquake wall limbs test are carried out respectively.In the calculation of large earthquakes,it is verified whether the structure meets the requirement of "no-tearing-down under large earthquakes".In the comfort calculation,the calculation of the maximum acceleration verifies whether the structure is comfortable or not.Based on the series of calculation,because the performance standard of some key components is greater than those of the overall structure,it is essential to do another round of calculation on those key components,to test the frame pillars,frame beams and frame-support floors And after the elastic calculation is finished,the corresponding measures are taken to solve beyond code-limit problems.In the dynamic elastic-plastic large earthquake analysis,the paper introduces the development and mechanism of dynamic elastic-plastic analysis,the resolution of dynamic structure equation and dynamic elastic-plastic analysis procedures.Apart from that,the paper also analyzes the large earthquake elastic-plastic features of the apartment building and the hotel building.And the base shear under dynamic elastic-plastic large earthquake is calculated and compared with that under small earthquake.At last,the maximum vertex displacement and vertex displacement angle under different seismic wave are calculated and concluded.
