Embedded track as a new tram track structure could achieve good effect on vibration reduction and noise reduction. So it is especially suitable for the rail transit in urban areas. Embedded track consists mainly of the rail, polymer materials, wedge block which put on the rail waist, resilient sleeper-bearing, PVC tube, track slab and CA mortar, etc. Compared with the way of traditional discrete fastener connection, rail connect with track slab in different way. Rail is placed in the groove which set in the monolithic track-bed and is fixed by polymer materials. The affecting factors of the stability of the embedded track continuously welded rails are unclear now, the ability of track structure against rail overturning is unclear, and also the material parameters of each component are not specified. In this paper, stability analysis model of continuously welded rails and the rail turnover model are established by finite element method, and make comprehensive analysis on the problem of rail stability and rail turnover. The main research contents include:(1)By collecting information, the influence factors and the evaluation criteria of the stability, turnover of rail and the stresses in the polymer materials are put forward. The parameters for main material are confirmed based on the field test. The mechanical model for the stability of embedded track is established. Based on this, the beam element model for the stability of rail and the three-dimensional solid finite element model for rail turnover and the stresses in the polymer materials is established.(2)The stability of continuous welded rail under temperature load was analyzed, the effect of line initial irregularity, polymer materials lateral rigidity, polymer materials critical length and polymer materials lateral resistance on the stability of continuous welded rail was analyzed. Quantitative analysis that the effect of polymer materials lateral rigidity, critical length and lateral resistance for lateral deformation of the rail have been done.(3)The embedded track s anti-turnover performance was analyzed, the effect of vertical load eccentricity, wedge block spacing, the Young’s modulus of polymer materials, the Young’s of resilient sleeper-bearing on rail turnover was studied.(4)The mechanical properties of the polymer materials when track buckling or rail turnover was analyzed, the effect of vertical load eccentricity, wedge block spacing, the Young’s modulus of polymer materials, the Young’s of resilient sleeper-bearing on the stresses in the polymer materials was studied.
