With the function of target recognition and tracking measurements locking, Total Station can quickly access real-time spatial position of moving targets. And it has become an important technology, which remedies the defects of static measurement techniques in efficiency. It has incomparable advantages such as high accuracy and high flexibility in small area survey.This thesis mainly concentrates on the theory of Leica Total Station dynamic measurement and on-line control, dynamic data processing methods and application of dynamic measurement in ballasted track survey. The content and outcome of this thesis is as followings:Firstly, the principle and process of t dynamic measurement technology of Total Station is studied, and the measure accuracy is analyzed through theory and experiment, and the research make a clearer understanding on the characteristics and actual measure accuracy of Total Station dynamic measurement data.Secondly, to fill the missing data, proposed an algorithm of data interpolation which based on different linear, and the calculate results of measure data and simulate data verified this algorithm is feasible. By the research of Total Station dynamic measurement data processing methods, proposed an algorithm of gross error detection which based on different linear. And to filter the noise of measure data, the Kalman filtering method is used. The calculate results of measure data and simulate data verified the data processing methods can improve the reliability and accuracy of dynamic measurement data.Then, by the research of ASCII communication protocol programming interface of Leica GeoCOM, developed Leica Total Station dynamic measurement control software. To achieve dynamic measurement technology inside and outside integration, dynamic data processing module which based on above-mentioned studies, is integrated. And the static and dynamic experiment verified the function of developed software is correct.At last, the Total Station dynamic measurement technology is applied to the normal speed railway ballasted track measurements. It introduced a new method for ballasted track measure. And with this new method, it introduced its measure processes and analyzed measure accuracy in detail. Furthermore, based on the new method, it proposed a calculate algorithm of static track geometry parameters. And the result of Experiment shows that the new method can achieve smoothness measurement and evaluation.
