At present, the horizontal displacement monitoring methods of civil buildings, which based on conventional ground measurement techniques, have many drawbacks like low degree of automation, the instrument should be set up on the reference points or occasional reference points when observing, and could not be rigorous adjustment. The traditional stability analysis methods, like t-test and the conventional mean spacing method, always treat the variable quantities of horizontal displacement of reference points and monitoring points as one-dimensional variation. In terms of predicting deformation, conventional regression analysis model with one unknown quantity tends to only build the correlation between the amount of displacement and time, while ignores the effects of physical deformation factors on displacement.In view of the above shortcomings, this thesis not only provides a new method of horizontal displacement monitoring, but also proposes several improved algorithms in data processing, finally, the author developed a data processing and management system of horizontal displacement monitoring (HPMS), in order to overcome the drawbacks of traditional methods to some extent.This thesis mainly includes the following contents:Firstly, in order to overcome the shortcomings of traditional horizontal displacement monitoring methods, this thesis proposes that applying the free-station linear-angular intersection network, which based on the measurement method of CP III plane network of high speed railway, to horizontal displacement monitoring. The thesis will focuses on the following contents:(1) how to apply the free-station linear-angular intersection network to horizontal displacement monitoring;(2) how to set various tolerances legitimately;(3) study on the methods of adjustment and precision evaluation;(4) analyzing the advantage of the new method of horizontal displacement monitoring, then verifying its feasibility in practice by accuracy estimation and simulation experiment.Secondly, this thesis proposes to improve the conventional mean spacing method. The new method treats the variable quantities of horizontal displacement of reference points and monitoring points as two-dimensional variation, that is to say, decomposes the displacement into displacement of Y direction and X direction. So that the displacement is more accurate and more intuitive, and the stability analytical results are more convincing.Then, this thesis proposes to improve the conventional regression analysis model with one unknown quantity, to establish a new model which not only can reflect the relationship between the physical deformation factors and deformations, but also could show the time tends.Finally, the author uses the C#programming language to develop the HPMS, based on correlation algorithm. The system can complete the following works:(1) managing the data of the project;(2) processing the data of free-station horizontal displacement monitoring network;(3) analyzing the reference points or monitoring points’stability and predicting their displacements on the future according to the data of multi period.
