Sluice is a kind of low-head hydraulic structures, which played an important role in economic and social development. The plain of water-rich region in North China has a large number of sluices. Through regulating gates, most of sluices by adjusting play the role of regulation and storage water level and flow control. In addition, The sluice has comprehensive benefits such as flood control, water supply, irrigation and drainage, etc. Safety and stable operation of the sluice has important practical significance to protect the safety of lives and property of the downstream people.At present, the most of running sluices in China were built from 1950 s to 1970 s. Due to backward technology, lack of experience and other objective factors, many sluices were surveyed and designed in the same time. While construction of the way completed, of which there exist flood control standard is low, dangerous hazards and other issues many locks. In recent years, our country becomes more and more concerned about the safety of the sluices. In order to prolong the service life of the sluice and found problems in a timely manner, in addition to increase the investment of the reinforcement project of the old gate, the sluice safety monitoring and disease are also placed in a more important position. The deformation observation is not only an important step to ensure the normal operation of the water conservancy project, but also an important part of the sluice safety monitoring. Therefore, the deformation observation data and method of sluice system provide a safe scientific and comprehensive analysis method which has important value for water conservancy project management unit.In this paper, taking flood control sluice as an example, it is based on the full investigation and collection of the test data. We can master the basic situation of the sluice area in time, including the conditions of the river basin, meteorological conditions, geological conditions, observation field conditions, upstream and downstream conditions of the sluice and so on. Through linear regression analysis and fitting function analysis, we can study deeply and systematically on the operation status from the three aspects of piezometric monitoring, horizontal displacement and vertical displacement observation. This study will provide a reference basis for sluice management units and improve the project management.
