The power of train is become more and more high with the speed up of the train, the power density of the converter is also increasing,which leads to the dramatical rising heat of converter and affecting the working life of converter, so it demands a better design of heat dispersion. Based on the PWM pulse width modulation technology and computational fluid dynamics, a research on the heat dispersion of auxiliary converter of high speed train is discussed in this thesis.Based on the technology of pulse width modulation (PWM), the given voltage or current is achieved by accurately controlling the duty cycle of switch tube. Additionally, the power loss of transformer, reactor, IGBT and other important devices in auxiliary converter(ACU) is calculated under the given voltage or current. Reference to the drawings of ACU and the real object of part of the electronic components, the3-dimensional model for ACU and its internal electronic devices are established in this thesis. The heat dispersion of ACU is simulated by the computational fluid dynamics software. The heat dispersion of ACU in different conditions are compared.Some conclusions of this work can provide reference for the design of auxiliary converter.
