With the country dishing the western development strategy, the civil traffic goes into the fast lane in the western region. Western Region terrain and geological complicated, continuous rigid frame bridge was used more in the lines on road because of it hasing a very prominent due to its advantages in terms of comprehensive economic, use, safety and aesthetics.In recent years, the western frequent earthquakes, particularly the2008earthquake let people focus on the study of bridge seismic.Bridge as a transit road life project, is not only related to people’s life and property safety, but also related to relief supplies’s transport and carrying out life-saving after the earthquake.Therefore, the analysis of high pier-long span curve continuous rigid frame bridge’s dynamic characteristics and seismic performance,is better to guide the engineering practice for accumulating information and promote such bridge in the actual project more widely used.This paper first introduces the earthquake and damage, combined with the bridge, commenced introduced high pier-long span curve continuous rigid frame bridge’s seismic research;then introduced the basic theory of the bridge seismic response analysis, there were static method, response spectrum method and time history method, comparing their advantages and disadvantages;then putting left pieces of Lushuihe bridge as engineering examples, analysis high pier-long span curve continuous rigid frame bridge’s dynamic characteristics,simultaneously analysis parameters of dynamic characteristics (radius and height of piers).Structure response analysis was carried out under seismic,and the main direction of the earthquake problemwas investigated. It was surveied that radius had influence on the seismic response of structures.Response spectrum method and time history method results in differences was surveried too.In the end. Internal force structure was investigated when Traveling wave effect was considered.These conclusions can be expected to provide a reference for the seismic design of similar bridges.
