Research On Assessment Of Regional Urban Railway Operation

The construction scale of regional urban railway continues to accelerate while urbanization is speeding up throughout china.Regional urban railway is a new type of railway in china.Research on assessment of regional urban railway operation is significative to the operation of other railways.Firstly, this paper analyzes the basic theory of regional urban railway operation assessment.The concept and characteristics of regional urban railway are analyzed.Regional urban railway can guide urban development and provide urban passenger transport services.The system structure of regional urban railway operation should include fixed equipment, mobile equipment,operation plans,transportation and production, the transfer organization between regional urban railway and metro.The service characteristic of regional urban railway are safety,rapidity, convenience, reliability,comfort,economy.Secondly, assess the operational efficiency.The assessment index system of regional urban railway operation is initially established according to the5subsystems.After screening, the assessment index system is finally established from three aspects which are quality of the train diagram, transportation and production level, and the organization level with metro.The calculation method and the assessment criteria of each index is determined.The comprehensive assessment should be done applying Grey Evaluation Method.Then, assess the level of service. This paper designs two questionnaires about passengers’satisfaction degree of regional urban railway’s station and train service level. Station services include ticketing, ticket, food, environment, clean, guiding signs, special sevice, personnel service, and transfer efficiency. Train services mainly include crew service, train performance, interior environment, hygiene, interior equipment, directional signs and catering service. The comprehensive assessment should be done applying the triangular fuzzy number method.Finally, assess the operation of Chengdu-Dujiangyan Regional Urban Railway. Its operational efficiency is between "good" and "normal". The capacity utilization is low, and the average buffer time is too long. Level of period density is to be improved. The overall satisfaction is "satisfactory on the second level". Comments focus on ticketing service and catering service. The operators should arrange more trains on peak hour, and improve the station facilities, improve and enrich the sales channels, and improve food service.
