Study The Factors Of Public Visual Preferences On Public Buildings

With the rapid development of high-rise public buildings in Chengdu, what we need to study is that what kind of high-rise public buildings external morphology is consistent with the public visual preference. In this paper, we put the public’s visual preference as the starting point, using psychophysics and mathematical methods of statistical analysis to analyze the influence of people’s visual preference factors on the high-rise public buildings. First of all, the paper describes the theory and defines what is public visual preference on high-rise public buildings, and makes relevant instructions on the scope of the study, the encountered problems and the directions to the instructions. And then design a feasible research method to study people’s visual preference factors on the high-rise public buildings. First, investigate the public’s awareness of the visual high-rise public buildings. Then, analyze the integrity of public preference for high-rise public buildings though psychophysical methods. Secondly, the sample building will be visual split to get rating. Analyze data to draw concrete building visual elements preferences, and finally puts forward a series of recommendations based on preference factor. In short, the core content of the paper is to study the factors of public visual preferences on public buildings in Chengdu.
