Pod propulsion has gradually become the main steam propulsion system of electric propulsion, the development trend of future ship propulsion system with several advantages such as higher driving efficiency, better maneuverability, higher flexibility of space arrangement and higher reliable performance, widely used in ocean engineering vessel, luxury cruise ship, ro-ro passenger ship, icebreaker, military ship, etc.Pod propulsion has developed for many years; many overseas companies have many products; domestic technology is still in its infancy. This thesis takes permanent magnet synchronous motor in POD as the object of research, make an in-depth study in permanent magnet synchronous motor vector control system, and introduce the hardware and software design.This research work in the paper is in the following areas:· Introduce the development of pod propulsion.· Analysis permanent magnet synchronous motor principle, vector control system principle and vector control system principle block diagram, and mainly introduce Clarke transformation, Park transformation and the space voltage vector modulation (SVPWM) method, etc.· Design vector control system hardware based on STM32core processing chip by Altium Designer09, including modulation driving circuit, current detection circuit, the rotor speed detection circuit, input and output interface circuit, communication interface circuit, etc.· Complete the function code under the Keil uVision4programming software environment, including the initialization processing code, speed regulator and current regulator code, rotating speed of rotor position measurement, the three-phase stator winding current detection code, space voltage vector modulation (SVPWM) code, etc.Vector control system hardware provides CAN and RS485communication interfaces. It provides industrial control LANs conveniently for practical engineering application, and provides the function of the LCD liquid crystal display for displaying and adjusting the control parameters of the system conveniently.
