From November2012to October2013for a period of one year’s time, we use a fixed distance transect method and the fixed radius point count method conducted a survey systematically in Dalinuoer wind farm experiments plot and comparisonal plot which with the same kind of habitat to experiments plot located in Keshiketengqi. Combined with bird diversity index, evenness index, dominance index, the average density, analyzes bird community composition of two plots, bird diversity and the relationship between birds and environmental factors of the same season in different habitats, so as to research the impact and scope of the wind farms in Inner Mongolia steppe on birds systematically, study bird species, quantity and changes in community composition, analyzed the relationship between the reasons of changes and wind farms. According to the actual situation of wind farms, the preventive measures against birds strike turbines were proposed. The main results are as follows:1.Comprehensive view of the annual survey results:experimental plots on bird diversity still slightly above Comparisonal plot, but the difference was not significant. From the records throughout the year from the total number of birds to see, the number of birds on the Comparisonal plot higher than the experimental plots, but the difference was not significant.In both plots avifauna composition, Palaearctic and central sector are dominant,the main part of bird communities are breeding birds, which mainly including summer visitors.2.From the survey results of birds in same seasons, the bird diversity of experimental plot in spring and autumn were higher than the comparisonal plot, summer and winter is lower than the comparisonal plot, the bird diversity indices of spring and winter in both experiment plots and comparisonal plot were higher than summer and autumn. From bird species,birds in spring and winter of this two plots both substantially higher than the summer and autumn.3.We analysis the correlation between bird diversity and the three main environmental factors in experimental plots and comparisonal plot, we have the following conclusions:bird diversity and plant diversity and insects diversity has a remarkable correlation in experimental plot,but has no significant correlation between bird diversity and vegetation cover; bird diversity and plant diversity and insects diversity and vegetation cover all has a remarkable correlation in comparisonal plot.4. Wind farm have indirect effects to birds diversity through plant diversity,vegetation cover and insects diversity. From the record of bird flight altitude in wind farm, we did not find bird strike turbines event, this is mainly due to the limitation of the scope of the investigation, however, it still has a certain probability to bird strike event in the country. Therefore, the main measures against bird strike turbines should strengthen governance to surrounding environment,build bird observatory in wind farm area and to observe the activities of the birds in time. Assessing the situation of bird stay in the high-voltage lines and bird strike turbines mistakenly,adjust and improve the operations of wind farm in time.
