Brushless DC motor adopts electronic commutator to replace the traditional mechanical commutator of Brush DC motor, eliminating a series of problems caused by the DC motor mechanical commutator, such as brush wearing、electromagnetic interference and require frequent frequent maintenance. As the same time, the Brushless DC motor inherited some important advantages from Brush DC motor like the wide speed range, large torque, smooth operation,and etc. So the research of Brushless DC motor control system has a very important significance.First, this paper is based on the research of the relevant literature at home and abroad, introduces the Brushless DC motor development process and relevant characteristics; analysis of body design and working principle of operation of brushless DC motor; Quasi sine wave counter electromotive force are analyzed in detail and arbitrary waveform brushless dc motor the back emf brushless dc motor electromagnetic torque pulse, and put forward the signal based on discrete location of self-synchronous SPWM control Method.Then, depending on the speed control principle and control requirements of brushless DC motor, given the modular hardware system design. The control system hardware is divided into two modules:The control circuit and the motor drive circuit. The core controller selects the special Brushless DC Motor control chip TB6556FG of TOSHIBA Company; the motor driving power module introduces of TOSHIBA’s IPM devices TPD4135AK. In the paper, This research focuses on the MCU controller protection circuit design、switching power supply system design、research and design of motor driving circuit and protection circuit based on intelligent power module IPM. Finally, according to the feedback signals of hall sensors, the Software system realize the closed-loop control of Brushless DC motor speed, using the algorithm of PI,According to user requirements, design the motor control monitoring interface based on Lab VIEW, real-time monitoring of the motor current, speed and other state quantities and as system debugging aids tool, to improve the efficiency of the control system debugging and optimizing the control algorithms of the motor.Finally, through the repeated testing of the system, the experimental results show that: the design scheme is reasonable and scientific、the motor running steadily and the self-protection of system is good, which achieves the expected design requirements.
