It is because of unavoidable structure members’ strength decreasing, damage accumulation and resistance degradation result from steel corrosion and concrete deterioration due to exposing in bad environment for long period, increasing structural members’design grades result from a new construction application, construction problems or over design limit, which cause seriously problems in construction, that the construction must be strengthened or reinforced. Due to structure columns of every construction are main supporting members, reinforcement technique of structure columns becomes a key tissue of structural engineering.The advantages of FRP, such as high weight and strength ration, wide usage, low effect on structure and high corrosion resistance as well as being constructed convenience and fast, are fit for utilizing in reinforcement concrete structure columns strengthening. Especially the merits of BFRP (basalt fiber reinforced plastic), include good mechanical properties, high stability, low price and skilled domestic production technique; make it more practical than other FRP material. This dissertation focus on testing and finite element analyzing the bias load performance of reinforce concrete cylinder with BFRP strengthened.This dissertation covers different directions of bias load performance of reinforce concrete cylinder with BFRP strengthened in finite element analysis.Firstly, a BFRP strengthened two-side simply supported reinforce concrete finite element model is built up with appropriate concrete, steel and BFRP constitutive relation, the interrelation between steel and concrete, the interrelation with concrete and BFRP in giant finite element software ABAQUS.Secondly, the established finite element model was compared with experimental research results to verify the reasonableness of the established finite element model.Thirdly, different BFRP layers and Eccentricity was considered to analyze the effect of carrying capacity of BFRP confined concrete columns.Also, the result shows that the BFRP strengthened reinforced concrete cylinder finite element model can better model columns’properties, such as load, in axial compression and bias circumstances. The finite element based result is similar to that experimental based. By utilizing BFRP to strengthen reinforced concrete cylinder, the ultimate strength and ductility performance can be improved well so that the renovation and strengthened targets can be reached.Last but not least, sum up the whole dissertation and offer basic reference suggestion to strengthened design and renovation construction of BFRP strengthened reinforced concrete.
