With the rapid development of automobile industry in recent years in China,automatic welding technology has been rapid popularization. To realize automaticwelding production, flexibility and intelligence has become an inevitable trend ofautomobile manufacturing industry. The robot welding has become a symbol in themodernization of automatic welding technology. Welding robot has someadvantages, such as reliable work, strong versatility, more and more to be paidattention. In welding production using robot welding, can improve productionefficiency, ensure the welding quality, improve working conditions, reduce theequipment failure rate, reduce labor intensity and other advantages. Therefore, thewelding robot is widely used in automobile manufacturing industry.However, the robot welding production line, because of its high technology,complex process that many companies step back. Robot welding production linehave a high investment, high maintenance cost is the fact that does not dispute.Therefore, to winkle the welding robot welding equipment production capacity,improve the overall utilization rate of the welding robot, increase once qualified rateof product in the process of production is an important topic in front of weldingengineering and technical personnel. Aiming at the above problems, the robotwelding production line as the sample, the use of industrial engineering methods,combined with the actual situation of production, based on industrial engineering,robot, welding fixture and theoretical knowledge of laser welding technology,optimize and improve the welding parameters, welding materials, production process analysis, equipment layout and material placement and so on, to find the bestcombination of welding production line capacity, product quality and productioncost. Determine the improvement measures and the concrete implementation plan, tomeet the capacity and quality requirements of customer.With this improvement, once qualified rate increased from72%to94%, theutilization rate of equipment increased evidently, and by adding some investment,thus the welding capacity increased71%, achieve the best combination of weldingproduction line capacity, product quality and production cost. The accumulation ofexperience and methods in the process of research has a certain guiding significancefor improving the manufacturing efficiency and the management level of ChangchunBrose supplier and following project. In fact, the application level of industrialengineering technology directly reflects the management level and thecompetitiveness of enterprises level.
