Microwave vacuum drying technology is a new drying method, in which the water molecules of materials placed in alternating electric field move more acutely after being polarized, and the friction between water molecules is also more acute. Frictional heat buildup accelerates the evaporation of surface moisture of materials resulting in the generation of temperature gradient and moisture gradient between internal and external of materials, consequently the transfer of moisture from interior to exterior is accelerated, through which we attain the object of drying. But because of the great influence of parameters such as microwave power, vacuum degree, drying time, material property etc. on quality of dying product during drying process, it becomes the hotspot to research the process technology by microwave vacuum drying.This project focus on how to dry the bobbin yarn with microwave vacuum drying technique, especially analyze the effects of technological parameters on the drying characteristics, in order to reduce the drying time, improve products’ drying quality and drying efficiency. Besides, the microwave vacuum drying technology is also applied to releasing the formaldehyde of man-made board quickly, and expands the application of microwave vacuum drying technology in other fields. The main work of this project includes:1) Study on microwave vacuum drying technology. The main research include: the traditional drying methods equipments; the heating technology of microwave drying, heat transfer mechanism, energy consumption calculation; the principle of vacuum drying; the characteristics and application prospects of microwave vacuum drying. 2) Optimization of the microwave vacuum drying equipment. The main performance measurement of microwave vacuum drying equipment had been completed, including the calculation of output power of microwave and breakdown strength checking; vacuum pressure test equipment are optimized, including the optimization of vacuum system, improved magnetron radiating, optimize the uniformity of microwave; made the operation specification for microwave vacuum test equipment.3) The yarn of microwave vacuum drying test had been finished. The yarn for drying objects, study on drying time on microwave vacuum drying effect and complete the analysis of single factor. Complete the analysis of various factors through Response Surface Methodology and yarn orthogonal test. In addition, the man-made board formaldehyde quick release process test also will be completed.4) The analysis of microwave vacuum drying cost-benefit. Completing the analysis of microwave vacuum drying cost-benefit include Energy efficiency and thermal efficiency of microwave vacuum drying equipment; the energy utilization rate of microwave vacuum drying and hot air drying comparison; the economy analysis of microwave vacuum drying; microwave vacuum drying technology compared with other drying technique.
