The rapid development of automobile industry caused major problems of energyconsumption and environmental pollution. Currently, due to strong power, diesel carsbecome more and more popular, and electronic unit pump system has good prospects in thehigh-power diesel engines because of its high injection pressure, injection quantity andinjection timing can be flexible control, the unique advantages that the transformation ofinjection system is small. Therefore, this paper conducts the design of ECU hardwaresystem and the underlying driver software for EUP six-cylinder diesel engine system.About the ECU hardware design, based on analysis of EUP structure and workingprinciple, determine the overall design, then, firstly all sensors used in the system areintroduced, then according to electrical characteristics of EUP systems, taking InfineonXC276516microcontroller as a core, design ECU various functional modules, such as thepower supply module, signal processing module, solenoid valve drive module,communication module and so on, to precisely control unit pump fuel injection timing andfuel injection pulse width. In the solenoid valve drive part, design dual power driver circuitfor high voltage drive60V and low-voltage drive24V.According to the system hardware platforms, design ECU underlying driver software.Firstly conducted its allocation of hardware resources, then with Infineon’s DAvE softwareand Tasking compiler software platform, develop the software including the design ofsentencing cylinders and engine speed computing based on signal acquisition of camshaftand crankshaft position, the design of the injector solenoid driver software based on highand low voltage control, and the design of CAN driver software. In the sentencing cylindermode software, using a variety of sentencing cylinder mode enables the system moreperfect. In the system sub-cylinder camshaft is main, when the camshaft position sensorfails, use the crankshaft position sensor to sentence cylinder, making the engine keepoperating to repair place. For the part of communication software, according to the CCPCAN communication protocol design software, we can achieve the communication between the ECU and calibration tools.For the ECU system the design of which is completed, at the end we conducted theperformance verification on pump test bench and tested the practical application of thecontrol system on engine test bench, the test result proved that the ECU control systems ofEUP can work well, which achieves the design goal and can meet the application needs tosome extent.
