Increased year by year with the traffic demand, traffic flow, shipping tonnage of ship is increasing year by year, pier, bridge abutment under ship collision accidents have occurred from time to time, a serious threat to the safety of the bridge and smooth traffic, caused huge economic losses; therefore studying the pier collision mechanism, with an important theoretical and practical significance to improve the pier anti-collision ability. The main contents of this paper:(1) Based on the linear elastic material nonlinearity considered pier collision.at the same time, the axial pressure of the upper structure as a function to handle, dynamic differential equations of pier collision system is established, using the variational principle of dynamic differential equation of the pier collision by strict mathematical derivation, using Laplace transform and pier boundary conditions, in the theoretical solution of the dynamic frequency response of its pier.(2) Using the Crump transform method, the numerical inversion by using mathematical software Matlab programming, the time domain dynamic response of bridge pier and the collision force, and the solving method for different boundary conditions.(3) Use ANSYS/LS-DYNA to establish the finite element model and the numerical simulation analysis, analysis of the changes of pier collision impact force and impact velocity of quality.(4) The ANSYS/LS-DYNA numerical solutions are compared with the solutions, results, show that this method has better accuracy; at the same time analyzed the nonlinear solution and the linear solution results, show the effects of nonlinear response to structure dynamics are larger, more in line with the actual stress state.(5) At the end of the pier collision force peak was fitted, the simplified calculation formula is obtained, and the result was compared with the national norm.
