With the progress of time and increasingly advanced science and technology, the transmission of information is no longer limited to traditional media, such as word of mouth or written statement etc., which act as the tools for transmission. Development of the Internet makes the production and dissemination of information more rapid and convenient. Meanwhile, due to unexpected excessive information, people also suffer from increasing pressure in information acquisition and management. The upgrade from Web1.0to Web2.0can be regarded as a leap, since the era of Web2.0is no longer just an era of data, and people’s modes of operation no longer only aim to obtain information, either. The Web2.0era, in which all the people are involved, offers a very challenging task in aspects of information organization, systematization and expression as well as the issue of definition shown to users. More and more people begin to pay more attention to the empathic design of products, and their requirements for products not only focus on functional realization but also demand the experience satisfaction as well. The rapid development of the Internet makes people’s demand for product interactivity increasingly higher. How to allow users to be able to feel the comfort, convenience, high speed and security satisfaction and to gain the experiences of the beauty of instant in the interactive process with products? It is far from enough to just complete the superficial work; on the contrary, we need to explore the structure hidden under the surface. If users completely neither have idea where to start when browsing a Web page nor know how to browse the Web page in order to find the information he needs, then no matter how beautiful the color matching of the Web page is, the fact that a series of problems like unclear architecture and low availability exist cannot be hidden. The core objective of information architecture is user experience, namely, the combination of availability and usability.Through elaborating basic researches on information architecture theory, including the concept, design principles and significance of information architecture, this paper explained the pivotal role of information architecture in the design process and made a detailed analysis on individual components and functions of information architecture. While elaborating concept and principles, some relevant examples were pertinently cited, aimed to more clearly describe this paper’s overall design processes and the methods for information architecture. On the basis of this, the subsequent effect of information architecture control on the user experience was emphasized. In this paper, not only was the discussion given from the view of information architecture, but also the strong association between information architecture and user experience was emphasized from the aspects of user’s psychology, user’s needs and user’s goals. In preliminary study after the initiation of design, the real psychological demands of users shall be explored by methods such as user interviews, establishment of user model and contexts using etc.. with taking user goals as the guidance, the function and direction of products can be positioned based on observing user behaviors, which thereby will help designers work out such architecture design that better fits user mental model and better caters to user psychological expectations, as a result, the user experience will be effectively improved. Good products are those that know how to cater to user psychology rather than those force users to adapt to them. The basic concept of "big data" was also mentioned in this paper; besides, how collecting data helps designers to better understand user’s real psychology and demands so as to better guide the design of information architecture was also discussed. Different types of products and users as well as the use of contexts have their corresponding information architectures; however, the essential design principles are interoperable. Finally, in combination with the actual cases and based on preliminary user research, this paper provided the final design solution and the show form of interactive design from the perspective of understanding of user needs. Thus, the effectiveness and credibility of the research in this paper has been verified. Innovation of this paper:Take the information architecture as the argument, focus on description of the relevant principles, design methods and process of information architecture, and elucidate the importance of the impact of information architecture on user experience and perception. The starting point of user-centric concept was clarified, which allowed a study on their psychological, behavioral, logic and other aspects. The essence of information architecture was grasped throughout this process. Based on mastering the design philosophy of information architecture and the adjustment and optimization on it, the architecture of PC-end Web page was transplanted to mobile end. The research subject that allows users to enjoy seamless operation experience as much as possible was thus realized.
