Research On Cultural Buildings Deign In Small And Medium-sized Cities

The rapid development of social economy drives the development of small and medium-sized cities, and improves urban construction speed. In order to improve the urban environment quality, promote the visibility of the city, shape the cultural atmosphere, and create a comfortable public space, small and medium-sized cities increase the construction space of the culture building; At the same time, because the requirement of quality of cultural life for people is higher and higher, the cultural construction has been continuously developed as a platform for the people to pursue cultural life. Under this background, the phenomenon of building multiple public cultural constructions together in the small and medium-sized city appears and develops rapidly and constantly.Architects think more deeply about the relation between buildings and urban environment with the development of urban and architectural design theory. After the urban culture buildings in the small and medium-sized cities become an important public rapidly after their appearance, and they have important influence on urban structure, urban space morphology and the urban environment quality. Hence they have got extensive concern in the industry, and the author chose them as the research topic in this article.the cultural buildings studied in this paper refers to the building form which build two or more forms of cultural buildings like library, cultural centers, museums, theatres, and art galleries together in order to meet the demand of people for a variety of cultural life in the small and medium-sized cities and they are the landmark building in the small and medium-sized cities.The development of cultural architecture in small and medium-sized city starts late and the research of such buildings in our country lacks specific theory. This article, basing on practical problems and the complex relationship between buildings and the city, explores the basic problems such as cultural complex features, design rules, and construction scale from the point of urban and architectural space environment cognition and place construction through information collection, sorting, induction and analysis of such buildings in the small and medium-sized city. The author hopes this article can summarize the construction of the cultural building in small and medium-sized city and put forward the design strategy. The author also hopes this article can provide a reference for future construction of such kind of buildings.
