Traction power supply system that can provide electricity to drive vehicles is extremely important to the electrified railway. The study of traction power supply has been always paid attention to, however the study of traction power supply system based on the two-dimensional has brought great inconvenience to learning research and analysis, and affected the efficiency of research. In order to make the study of traction power supply system more intuitive, efficient and effective, this article will introduce a3d simulation technology for the traction power supply system research.This dissertation introduces the present situation of3d simulation technology and the characteristics of the commonly used3d simulation software, and3d simulation engine of OGRE is adopted to simulate the traction power supply system by comparing in this paper. Models are needed in3d scene, but OGRE engine cannot create model itself. The3ds MAX is the exclusive software to create3d simulation model, this paper adopts the3ds MAX to model equipment of the traction power supply system.OGRE organizes its scene nodes in a tree structure. The traction power supply system is from the perspective of space roughly divided into traction substations and traction network, the substation contains the duty room, voltage, insulators, and many other objects, traction network includes tracks, towers and catenary and so on. According to the spatial characteristics of the traction power supply system, space logic structure of simulation system is designed with quite trenchant arrangement and well structure. In order to meet the needs of most users, the function structure is designed so that users can browse and maintain the traction power supply system, and the simulation system can be used for teaching.In order to improve the real time rendering efficiency of three-dimensional simulation of traction power supply system based on the three-dimensional simulation engine of OGRE, from the perspective of reducing rendering batches, the simulation model loading optimization method is researched. Working principles of the normal model loading method (single object independent loading), the static geometry loading method and the instanced geometry loading method are analyzed. The three different loading methods are used to load amount of insulators of traction power supply system respectively, the result shows that compared with the normal loading method, the static geometry loading method and the instanced geometry loading method can significantly reduce the number of rendering batches and greatly improve the rendering efficiency. According to the characteristics of the three kinds of loading methods, model loading optimization scheme of the traction power supply system is designed, the simulation results show that the optimization scheme proposed here can reduce the number of batches in real time rendering and effectively improve the real time rendering efficiency.There is no specific database to process special data in OGRE. Parameters of equipment and data information of models in traction power supply system are departed in this article, and data level is designed too; the flow chart of reading and displaying parameters in the realtime scene is designed and programmed. Since there is no specific implementation for displaying Chinese, in order to meet the user’s reading habits, Chinese font in the Windows system is used as the font resource to display Chinese characters in the interface, and the scheme is designed to solve the problem due to Chinese characters taking up different lines when inputting text. Finally, the vertex cache technology is used to create line in the traction power supply system to solve the problems of difficulty to modify, low reuse rate, high memory occupying, influencing the efficiency of rendering with models created in advance, and to overcome the shortcomings of less of3d sense, having shadow under the specific perspective view with ideal line.To get an initial three-dimensional simulation of the traction power supply system, scene logical structure, the system architecture, data-level for realizing parameter list function and the flow chart for displaying Chinese are designed, and the vertex cache is used to generate lines in this paper. It lays the foundation of the improvement and function expansion of the simulation system for the future, provides a new way and new power for the research of traction power supply system.
