Along with the rapid development of communication technology,computer technology, control technology, and increasing number of urban mass transit system, Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) has become widely used and been the trend of urban railway traffic control system. The interlocking system is one core subsystem of CBTC system, which is meaningful for the CBTC,and in charge of the underlying logic of train operation safety.However, theoretical study of the CBTC is comparatively late in our country, the CBTC technology has been monopolized by foreign manufacturers, and it severely limits the development of urban mass transit in China. Therefore, it is highly significant to study the foreign research results, develop our own full proprietary intellectual property rights system.In this paper, based on CBTC system, with designing interlocking logic as research target, structure and composition of CBTC and the fallback system setting was analyzed, the relationship between the Zone Controller of CBTC mode and the interlocking system was researched. Comparing the interlocking function elements of CBTC mode and the fullback mode, the interlocking subsystem requirements were designed. What’s more, the main interlocking functional modules were divided, and interlocking logic of each function module was designed, the logic of the intermediate variables were designed,the property about slow-acting of logic variables were qualitatively designed as well. The interlocking logic which satisfies the CBTC system and the mixed operation mode, were accomplished by using the Boolean function expression.Besides, according to the feature of the CBTC system and the logic design of interlocking system, the functional interfaces between interlocking system and other subsystems were defined, including the ATS,LCW,ZC, local site and adjacent interlocking system.Finally, through ATS simulation platform, cooperation with train analog subsystem, the interlocking logic designed in the paper was tested based on practical line dates.
