Shear stress and shear rate of Newtonian fluid present a linear relation; it is relatively easy to carry out studies on flow characteristics. So for Newtonian fluid research is more. Such as air, water and so on is Newtonian fluid flow. Rather than the shear stress and shear rate of non-Newtonian fluid changes present nonlinear relationship, so it is relatively complex for the research of non-Newtonian fluids, Theoretical research is relatively small for this type of fluid flow characteristics. Flow media such as city life sewage, paper pulp, blood and so on belong to non-Newtonian fluid, the research is mainly based on the fluid of urban sewage as the research object.Along with the science, technology, industry and residents to improve the level of city life, the problem of the urban sewage discharge and treatment is more and more serious, to urban sewage pipe regulating valve in the system requirements are also increasing, urban sewage contains a large number of solid fiber, and granular fluids, in the process of flow of regulator generate winding and blocking in the pipe network system. Due to the particularity of the structure of v-type regulating ball valve in this study, can be very good to prevent sewage flow congestion on regulating valve.Urban sewage is regarded as non-Newtonian power law fluid are studied, in the process of research we use homogeneous flow theory, the non-Newtonian power-law characteristics of urban sewage flow as single phase homogeneous fluid for research and analysis, non-Newtonian fluid flow in the pipeline has a certain theoretical basis, for the analysis on the flow characteristic of regulating valve, research is relatively small. Analysis the flow characteristic of the sewage in regulating valve, mainly based on conduit flow theory, This article mainly through CFD numerical calculation method, study the flow characteristics of urban wastewater by using fluid calculation software fluent when fluid through the v-type regulating ball valve.Analog simulation analysis flow field by fluid calculation software fluent, get different differential pressure and different opening pressure nephogram and the velocity vector diagram, clearly see the changes in pressure and flow through the graphical. analysis the influence on fluid flow under the different opening pressure, and the differential effects on flow velocity.Analysis the fluid flow different opening and differential pressure, when the differential pressure and opening change, contrast of the flow characteristic of power law type urban sewage in regulating valve and the flow characteristic of water in regulating valve. Research and analysis the flow resistance characteristics of v-type regulating ball valve. Through simulating get flow resistance coefficient and flux coefficient of different opening and differential pressure different, draw the change cure of flow resistance coefficient and flux coefficient. Through the curve can be seen the change of the flow resistance coefficient and discharge coefficient of the regulator, with the increase of the opening, the flow resistance coefficient decreases continuously, flow coefficient is increasing. When the differential pressure changes, flow resistance coefficient and discharge coefficient value had no obvious change.
