AC Induction Motor is widely used in industrial fields, because of its reliabilityand controllability. Therefore the control strategy of AC Induction Motor is a veryimportant research subject.This thesis briefly introduces several commonly used control strategies of ACInduction Motor, and analyzes the pros and cons of each strategy. The research objectof this article is the Field Oriented Control which achieves excellent control. Thepaper introduces the coordinate transformation and mathematical model of ACInduction Motor, and also the equivalent circuit. Field Oriented Control and SVPWMare also presented.As is known, simulation is a means which can greatly save resources, shorten thedevelopment cycle, and improve the efficiency of development. MATAB/Simulink isa powerful simulation platform which can meet the requirements of the users. Basedon MATLAB/Simulink, the model of Field Oriented Control of AC Induction Motoris established, and the feasibility and reliability of the control system is verified. Wedesign the hardware development environment accordingly. Through integration ofMATLAB code generation with single chip microcomputer, the control strategy isdeveloped. At last, the validation of the control strategy is accomplished by analyzingand comparing the collected waveform of parameters during the running of motor andMATLAB simulation.In-depth research should be put into improving the control of AC InductionMotor due to its scientific significance and great economic benefits. At the end of thethesis, the suggestions for improving the research and future work are provided.
