Crawler crane with a lifting capacity, lifting height is high, but driving load, etc. Inpetrochemical industry, electric power, steel, Bridges, Marine engineering and municipalstadium, and other fields, crawler crane has been widely applied. With the rapid developmentof economic construction, petrochemical, nuclear power industry such as construction scaleis more and more big, the crane capacity is higher and higher. Crawler crane to develop inthe direction of large-scale, intelligent and dedicated, multi-function.In this article, the3000-ton giant crawler crane main boom has carried on the overallstructure design, the parallel double girder main boom structure, as with a rigid connectionbetween two main boom structure, lower for the parallel structure, head together inside,conform to the mechanical principle of smooth, and improve the hook size.The main boom is an important load-bearing parts of crane, its strength and stiffnesshas a direct impact on safe use of the machine.This article focuses on analytical method andfinite element method for this kind of parallel main boom structure mechanics performanceanalysis and evaluation. The selection of safety coefficient of main beam load combination,the material allowable stress, the whole stiffness and stability index were analyzed.Structuralmechanics analysis of main arm, including overall stability, the main arm chord and the localstability of CHS, the strength of the boom structure, main arm luffing in-plane displacement,lateral displacement and rotary plane arm immunity.In this article, finite element analysis method was applied to3200t crawler crane mainboom has carried on the analysis, mainly to boom the strength and stability of the nonlinearfinite element method is analyzed respectively, At the same time, check the lateral stiffnessof boom and arm immunity.For main boom truss welding structure, but also to the mainstructure of weld seam analytical method for calculating the static strength and fatiguestrength analysis, and compared with finite element analysis method. Finally, two kinds of typical analysis working condition has carried on the real vehiclecrane load test, the finite element model and analysis method for validation, fullydemonstrated the feasibility of this method.The research is giant crawler crane structure design of main boom provides a form ofreference, at the same time, give priority to arm strength analysis checking method providesa feasible analysis.
