The performance of lead-acid battery charge and discharge is related to the quality oflead paste which is painted in a positive, negative plate, while the lead paste quality isdirectly related by the quality of lead paste mixture. Therefore, it is very important todevelop mixture technologies of high quality lead paste.Based on "research advanced lead-acid battery production equipment" which issupport to provincial science and technology, this paper is researching lead-acid batteriesdouble helix continuous paste mixer and optimized design of its key structure. Throughresearching double helix continuous paste mixer and its key structure, it has developed afast and evenly mixed lead-acid batteries double helix continuous paste mixer.Firstly, the work mainly finished includes as followed: According to the paste featuresof lead-acid batteries, through analysis of the research status, this paper constructed adesign program of a fast and evenly mixed lead-acid batteries double helix continuouspaste mixture technology. The design of the mixing shaft which has applied the hollowinside cooling structure has been proposed and the product quality problems caused byinconsistencies of the cooling temperature in lead paste mixture process have been solvedbetter. Then, Mathematical model was constructed through the systems of continuous pastemixer which was designed and the double helix mixture shaft had been optimized design.Finally, on the basis of theoretical research, using Fluent and ANSYS simulationsoftware, paste mixing process was analyzed by coupled simulation. Compares the mixingblade edge thickness analysis, select a certain wall thickness, satisfy intensity conditions,and enhance the cooling effect. And the mode analysis was carried out on the double helixmixing shaft, avoid stirring shaft caused by resonance occur in the process of working theproblem such as the decrease of strength of leaf edge, structural damage, laid a theoreticalbasis for practical application.
