The security and reliability of power equipment is an important part in power transmission and distribution and grid security, enclosed switchgear as a power equipment widely used, its safety and reliability has been paid more and more attention. Measurement of switch cabinet contact temperature, without considering the load, environment parameters and other status information of switch cabinet. Therefore, the device is unable to contact the working state of diagnosis, only to make alarm of abnormal temperature, when the abnormal temperature, switch cabinet is at or close to the fault state.The Internet of things is the fundamental development and application of the smart grid, with the Internet of things technology mature, which can be applied to more fully in the power system. The Internet of things technology can be applied to each link of power transmission, transmission and analysis, provide effective guarantee and support for the construction of power system and the daily maintenance, information collection and other aspects. The smart grid implementation, first of all depends on the important parameters of each part of power system on-line monitoring and real-time information control, wireless sensor networks as "intelligent information terminal", can be an important technical means to promote the development of smart grid. The country has "for smart grid security monitor, transmission efficiency, measurement and user interaction of sensor network research and application verification" as a special major science and technology projects, the full implementation of transmission, in the smart grid, power distribution, electrical variable mass application of electric field sensor network, sensor network technology will be applied widely and in the development of smart grid construction. Recently, the State Grid Corp has promulgated the "State Grid Corp focuses on the application of new technology directory (2009Edition)", clear requirements to promote the use of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) technology.The plan should be application of the Internet of things technology, wireless temperature sensor device development of real time monitoring substation equipment installation, temperature changes, in order to meet the potential anti electromagnetic interference ability, long service life, reliable communication, comply with the standard requirements of power system operation, information sharing and research of wireless temperature sensing system and substation monitoring system, strengthen the system of comprehensive analysis of early warning capability, thereby decreasing the incidence of fever defects of electric equipment, improve the reliability of power grid operation.
