The car body panel is one of the most important parts in car body. Mold development for car body panel is closely related to the quality of panel, which is very important in the car industry. The rapid development of the automotive industry bring unimaginable pressure and impetus to mold companies. It has become the goal of mold industry development to achieve high quality, low cost and short leadtime in the die exploitation. Facing the development opportunities, Foton Die Factory goes at the forefront of the industry. This thesis research completed the stamping process design and mold design for Foton Die Factory body project back door inner panel on the basis of technical platforms of Foton Die Factory. Mold design technology described in this paper has important and practical significance in improving the level of die designing, the quality of manufacture and the production efficiency. Currently, mold has been completed acceptance inspection, put into production.The back door inner panel stamping formability was analyzed according to the structural characteristics and interchangeability requirements of the parts, design modifications was proposed, the product model was determined by product design departments. In accordance with the experience, the technological plan was determined to be drawing、trimming and piercing-. trimming piercing and side trimming、flanging and restrike、piercing and side piercing. Drawing process of the back door inner panel was simulated with the software Autoform, the key design elements such as drawing direction、addendum、binder surface、drawbead and cutting and process parameters such as blank holder force、friction coefficient、material properties were determined, CAE analysis report was drew. The detailed design of the back door plate stamping process was completed empirically, the key design elements such as process model、process content、stamping direction、the basic structure of the mold and positioning of every working procedure were determined, Die Layout Drawing of the back door inner panel was drew on the basis of the design specifications, and was issued after self-checking、accreditation、countersignature and proofreading, mold design started. Design process of the back door inner panel trim pierce die was introduced in key, design difficulty of die was analyzed, structure manufacturability of the mold such as casting manufacturability、machining manufacturability、assembly manufacturability、operation convenience and cost control was taken into account in the die design process, interference checking、 working allowance checking、wall thickness checking and scrap slide simulation were performed, mold started manufacturing after self-Checking、accreditation、 countersignature and proofreading.The research result of this thesis, can not only be used to guide the design of the stamping process and the mold for small and medium enterprises, but also be the reference for the similar auto-body panel stamping process.
