Design Of ECU Of ESP (Electronic Stability Program) Based On Dual CPU

The technology of ABS has been developed quite sophisticated since 1980s and has almost been a necessary part of a new car. Now that the demand of active safety system grows, the ESP (electronic stability program) has been invented. The project which this thesis is based on is the one that has been examined and approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. It is being carried out by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai Shenzhou Vehicle Technology Incorporation. The jobs the writer does include the design and improvement of software and hardware of ECU.The principle, usage and development of ESP and details of the software and hardware design of dual-CPU ESP system have been described in this article. Detailed job the writer has done includes: 1) Design of dual CPU structure based on MC68376 and MC9S12DG128. 2) Design of the assistant CPU board to check the signals from the sensors, communicate with the main CPU and carry out ABS function after the main controller is broken;3) Design of the hardware and software of failure diagnosis;4) Design of testing system based on Labview from National Instruments and data acquisition card DAQ-2213 from AD-Link.At the end of the article, the conclusion was added where quite a few problems were summarized and the future target was also set.
