Brassica napus is ne of the most important oil crops in our country. Now,the improvement of plant form and loding resistanece is the key to increase the yield. The M176mutant with dwarfing plant height were raised by treatment of EMS inducement of canola line NJ7982(Brassica napus L).Dwarf mutant M176was crossed to lines with normal plant height, leading to its two F2populations. The two populations have a genetic segregation analysisThis research based on the F2population with117lines derived from the M176(Dwarf parents) and J194(normal tall parents) to locate the QTL gene. This research has provided an new valuable material for reduction of plant height and breeding for lodging resistance in Brassica napus L.The main results are as follows:1) Dwarf mutant M176was crossed to lines with normal plant height, leading to its two F2populations. The inheritance of the dwarf trait of M176was studied through IECM. Genetic segregation analysis showed that the trait of plant height (Brassica napus L) was controlled by one pair of major genes, the dwarfing trait showed the partial dominance to the higher, the expected average value of plant height for the homologous dwarf genotype was about65cm,and for the heterozygous genotype was77-92cm,indicating that the dwarf gene may significantly reduce the plant height.2) Previously Published and newly developed SSR markers using117F2lines derived from M176and J194,89of759Published SSR markers showed11.7%polymorphism between two parents’M176’and’J194’,113new primers was designed according to the Ninth chromosome of BAC,only3polymorphic band was found3) Totally759SSR primers were screened, five polymorphic band was found linked to the dwarf gene Bn176and mapped on linkage group N9.finally,the dwarf gene Bnl76was located between Na10G06and BrA09Y21.
