Although researches on the bio-effects of electric field treatment seed have been more than half a century,it is not been widely and extensively used for the critical reason that the mechanism of electric field treatment bio-effect is not very clear yet.In the studies of electric field bio-effect mechanism,people analyzed and researched from the following aspects:enzyme activity changes, nucleic acid, protein metabolism, seed ultra weak luminescence, enzyme bands, conformation and function of enzyme protein and etc.This paper on the basis of the effects drought resistance of electric field on seeds tried to search the microscopic mechanism of electric field treatment plant seeds bio-effects on plant transcriptional level.To measure the gene expression variability of caragana young leaves after electric field treatment seeds,we chose caragana korshinskii seeds as materials and used differential display technique.The results showed that the number of differential DNA fragments between electric field treatment group and the water control group is503, and the bands number of electric field treatment group relative to PEG control group is493.The research results indicate that electric field treatment could influence gene expression of caragana young leaves. The research lays foundation of theory and experiment for the wide application of electric field treatment seeds and helps to explore more explicit mechanism of the bio-effects of electric field treatments.
