Study On Some Biological Characteristics Of Young European Plum

Six European plum varieties were introduced from Huafeng horticultural farm of Beijing from the year2010to2011.They were Goddess, Lan-mi, Black-overlord, Stanley, Early-prune and Gold-plum. A series test were conducted such as, heat resistance, pest control, fertilization; We also investigated their biological characteristics,including the plant traits, phenological period, flexibility and so on. At the same time,the varieties which are adapted to Tai-He were filtrated and the matching planting technology were studied. The results were as follows:1. The tree vigour of Black-overlord is robust, its branches are erect and stout, after planting, there are little fruit in second year. Gold-plum is good prosperous, germination rate is high, and principal stress is strong. Several other varieties are growing weaker, resistance is poor;2.There are certain differences between different varieties of European plum on phenological phase, florescence before and after about2to7days。 The Black-overlord flowering earliest and flowering time last longest, Goddess flowers at the latest, Stanley, Early-prune and Gold-plum are close, LanMi later2-3d. Individual plant flowering last for about7to10d,3.Through heat resistance index test and field observation, the results showed that heat resistance of Black-overlord and Gold-plum are stronger, to spend the summer smoothly. LanMi, Stanley and Goddess are weak under the high temperature weather.4. Through the analysis of variance, the more rational fertilization scheme is treatment2and5, the two treatment have obvious effect on diameter circumference growth of Glod-plum.5. Conduct different trials of plant diseases and insect pests prevention, better prevention and controlling of the moth is the Emamectin benzoate benzoate of5%;500times carbendazim powder has a good effect to prevent and control the gummosis. The number of disease spot decreased significantly, the control effect reached92.3%.
