Tracked vehicle has several characteristics, such as with large ground area, less groundpressure, good adhesion performance, strong climbing ability, small turning radius, goodcrossing ability. Therefore, it plays a very important role in agriculture, engineering andconstruction, modern military field.Compared with the mechanical driving system, the hydraulic driving system cangreatly simplify the structure of the system and realize stepless speed regulation bychanging the variable pump’s output.On the basis of fully studying the crawler tractor and hydraulic technology’s researchstatus and development trend at home and abroad, this paper had carried on the preliminarydesign and study to crawler tractor’s hydraulic driving system, according to the actualworking environment of crawler tractor. Through studying crawler tractor’s hydraulicdriving system, this paper obtained the following conclusions:(1) On the basis of the comparison and analysis of the mechanical, electrical,hydrodynamic and hydraulic driving mode, this paper used hydraulic driving mode as thesystem’s scheme. According to the requirement of hydraulic driving system, this paper usedsingle pump-double motors’ closed hydraulic system as the crawler tractor’s driving mode,through comparing the open system and closed system’s principle and characteristics,different speed adjustment ways, different driving scheme of hydraulic motor. Then thebasic composition and working principle of hydraulic driving system were describedsystematically.(2) According to the vehicle’s main performance parameters, this article had carried onthe analysis of dynamics and kinematics to the crawler tractor, determined the tangentialtraction that the vehicle’s starting and travel required and the relationship between thevehicle’s speed and the hydraulic motor’s speed.(3) The system working pressure was12MPa. The performance parameters of theengine had been selected reasonable. Finally, the Eaton4000’s motor-M0407C02B00A00,the Vickers PVB’s pump-PVB20-LS-20-C-11-PRC and the Changchai’s ZS1105were usedthe main components of the vehicle. (4) According to the requirements of different operating conditions, this paper checkedthe motor’s speed, the system’s pressure and the vehicle’s speed, in order to ensure thedesign of the hydraulic system could meet the requirements of full using of the engine’soutput power, system reliability and service life.(5) The crawler tractor hydraulic driving system model was built and simulation to thesystem’s parameters with AMESim software. The analysis results obtained could provide atheoretical basis and reference for the design of the crawler tractor hydraulic drive system’sfurther optimization and improvement and the selection of hydraulic components.
