Agricultural Pest Forecasting is the basic work of plant protection and agricultural production, but the prevailing problems are identification of pest species will be difficult,statistical data with large error, low working efficiency and low degree of intelligence etc. Those problems will lead to the lower forecast accuracy and reliability, and spend a lot of time and manpower. In light of the above, this study developed a sex pheromone traps with automatic counting system which set specific pest trapping, pests automatic counting, determination of insect source direction, pest data automatic transmission and pest statistics analysis in one. The study aims to reduce labor intensity of measuring worler, and to provide reliable technical guarantee for the forecast work.This study was mainly based on the single chip technology. The design about the sex pheromone traps with automatic counting system was from the insect forecasting of actual situation and on the basis of the former achievement. This study analyzed and demonstrated the feasibility of the design, and completed the entire technical process which from theoretical design to simulation and then to field test. The final completion of the sex pheromone traps with automatic counting system based on single-chip, I2C bus protocol and RS485bus communication protocol and so on. The major results were as follows:1、Designed the mechanical structure and trapping scheme of traps which trapped Bactrocera dorsalis and Spodoptera litura in this study.2、The design realized the infrared counting sensor, stcllfo4e as the control core, real time clock system and relay control circuit etc. Each insect entrance by the composition of the two infrared emission tube and two infrared receiving tube. Sending and receiving infrared signal was composed of two groups-beam photoelectric sensor which was a90degree angle cross arrangement, and when any beam of light is blocked by the target pest could be detected. The experiments showed that the detection was accuracy and sensitivity, the error was small, so it could be fully meet the count needs. 3、Using C language, designed the infrared counting sensor signal processing program, relay control program and data storage program. The PC client software of data collecting and processing program was compiled in easy language.4、This study realized that off-chip memory read and write, EEPROM electrically erasable memory storage capacity of8k and each recorded occupies4bytes, the total could stored2000data.5、The study was completed the design of RS485interface communication module and USB to serial port driver which connected with the PC, so that could realized to set the trap parameters by remote PC terminal software function.6、This study was conducted for6months in the field of forecast experiment of Bactrocera dorsalis and for4months in the field of forecast experiment of Spodoptera litura, Initially detected Bactrocera dorsalis and Spodoptera litura occur in part of month. The Bactrocera dorsalis was detected2peak and the Spodoptera litura was detected3peak. By comparison with the manual counting, the counting accuracy of sex pheromone traps with automatic counting system was Equal to or more than95%, initially to meet the design requirements.
