With the improvement of pepole’s material life level, more and more meat products are needed, which puts forward higher requirements for the development of Animal husbandry productivity. As a developing country with a huge population, China has a critical shortage problem in food production. Since pigs are monogastric animals, the contradiction between food and feed exists. At the same time, the feed input is one of the main factors influencing the economic benefits of the pig industry. So, currently, how to improve the feed efficiency and decrease the feed consumption is one of the most important problems in pig industry. Through the growth character correlation analysis of the same or different breeds of pigs, we want to explore the main influencing factor of feed efficiency in pigs. The main results of this study are as below:1. Through the variance analysis of Feed Efficiency index and growth traits, we proved that FCR,RFI,FI are significant different in three breeds of pigs.FI and the BF thickness of pigs who have lower RFI(FI=2.09±0.12Kg, BF=9.06±1.42mm, p<0.01) were found to be significantly less than the higher ones(FI=1.85±0.17Kg, BF=9.92±1.40mm, p<0.01). The AMBW did not show difference in the two kinds of pigs (Duroc=23.17±1.6Kg3, Yorkshire=23.00±1.42Kg), but the pigs with lower RFI had the trend of need fewer energy in maintain metabolic.2. In order to explore the influence factors of pig feed efficiency, the lab builded a Yorkshire pig group, and we have tested all the growth traits of each pig, including the initial BW(IBW=40.76±3.95Kg), the terminate BW(FBW=90.98±4.37Kg), average feed intake (AFI=2.07±0.35Kg) and so on. We also have taken samples and measured meat quality traits of each pig after slaughtered(ADG=0.81±0.15Kg, AMBW=22.03±1.55Kg, RFI=0±210g, FCR=2.57±0.32).3. Through the analysis of the data from Yorkshire pig group, we found that FI is the main factor influenced RFI. Combined with the literature review, we deduced that FI differences related to the genes about feed regulation factor, growth and energy metabolism.4. Through RNA and miRNAs sequencing of high and low RFI individuals, we have got some genes which differently expressed. Then we did the experimental verification, and choosed miR-29c as the candidate gene to do the research. ARRDC3、CYCS and ZFP36L1 were found in the predictional target genes of miR-29c by targetscan, and we have already proved that the3’UTR of them can be specially binded by miR-29c.
