With the high-speed development of national economy and social civilization degree unceasingenhancement,the demand of paper and paperboard, livestock products as well as the demand forman-made board (in construction business) in China are growing. Reed, as one of these industrial rawmaterials, has a huge market and the reed resources are rich in our country, the output is about1.3milliontons annually, but transportation became the main detrimental factors of its effective use. Study to developa packing machine that can satisfy the thick, long, hard of the reed, and adapt to the outdoor workenvironment can be one of the premise of solving the use of industrialization. In this paper, through theanalysis of existing compression theory and the research of packing machine at home and abroad, andaccording to the reed compression features and the stress relaxation characteristics, we designed the reedbundler structure and carry on simulation analysis of the compression organization.Based on the analysis of packer reeds development trends and characteristics, this paper determiningthe reed packer’s overall solutions: based on the principle of mechanical bundle pack, compression realizedby offset slider-crank mechanism, we can crush and deliver the long, thick, hard reeds directly by crushingconveyer.and through automatic knot device to realize intelligent packing, realize the reeds packagingfunction, and design the structure finally;under the premise of the reed compression features and thecharacteristics of the stress relaxation experiment,we analyze the compression theory, determine the modelof compression and stress relaxation. In the case of determining the overall structure, according to therequest of the whole machine structure and technical index, we calculate the size of compressionmechanism and use Solidworks software for3D modeling, interference analysis and quality characteristicsanalysis.The compression mechanism simulation model was established based on ADAMS software, load thecompression test and the stress relaxation test stress model into the piston body movement process, andcarry on the piston body kinematics simulation,Analysis of the change of the displacement, velocity andacceleration; dynamic simulation for articulated of compression mechanism, analysis of the piston fixedshaft, connecting rod, crank stress variation, and determine the maximum stress, so we can check on it.Established the model of every component of the compressed institutions in the ANSYS software, set thematerial properties and constraints, load the maximum stress of each component which got from ADAMSsimulation analysis. Analysis the stress and strain, verified the rationality of the design size of thecompression mechanism, the structure parameters and material selection.
