The remaining straw after rice harvest is not only a kind of important feed,but also a renewable biomass energy.In order to solve the problem of secondary access to the filed for picking up and tying work twice after the harvest,it is necessary to develop a device capable of carrying out both harvesting and tying tasks at the same time.So,the theories and experiments of the harvesting-tying machine have been studied in this paper.The main research contents as follows:(1)According to the requirements of the bundled compression mechanism,the key parts of the bundle of the compression mechanism have been designed.The route,the extreme angle,and the eccentricity of the compression piston have been set.The size of the crank and linkage has been calculated according to the structure diagram of the eccentric compression mechanism.The structural design of the flywheel(instead of crank)and connecting rod has been determined respectively,the three-dimensional modeling of which has been completed by using UG software.(2)The movement of compression mechanism has been analyzed in the ADAMS virtual prototype environment,and the displacement curve,velocity,acceleration and driving torque of the compression piston during the movement of the compression piston have been obtained.The rule of changing was obtained in the above process.(3)The finite element simulation analysis of the compression mechanism has been conducted.The results of displacement,average stress,minimum principal stress,maximum principal stress and maximum Von Mise stress of the flywheel,connecting rod,and piston have been obtained.Then the materials have been verified.(4)Bundling tests study have been conducted on the test-bed.The test indexes and factors were determined.The length of the bale,the amount of feeding,and the flywheel speed were selected as the variables for the single factor test study.Based on the experimental results,the orthogonal rotation combination multifactor test has been carried out,the regression equations of each factor on performance index were established.The influence of each factor onperformance index was discussed.The primary and secondary factors affecting the performance index were obtained,and the optimal process parameters were confirmed.
