The Utilization Of Coal Gangue And The Evaluation Of Gangue Mountain Vegetation Restoration In Xishan Mining Area

Coal gangue is the solid waste, which is generated in the process of coal mining and coal washing and processing, accounting for industrial solid waste in China1/4. Although carrying out the work of China’s coal gangue comprehensive is more than thirty years, the practical application is little. New coal gangue is still producing. As a result of gangue special physical and chemical properties, it produces serious affect on ecology and environment in mining area. Therefore, greening is becoming one of the effective ways to coal gangue hill management.This paper studies the coal gangue hill, which related to the causes, the impact on the environment and the need for governance. Especially based on coal gangue hills in Xishan area, this paper analyses the coal gangue utilization and gangue mountain vegetation restoration.The survey found:1) with gangue stop discharging the research time increased, the natural restoration of vegetation gradually increased, not only for the coverage increases, the vegetation species is more abundant.2) stop discharging the research about ten years there will be local herbs natural invasion, formed relatively sparse grassland vegetation. About30years or so, there will be the emergence of woody plants. Coal and rock the relatively poor site conditions, natural invasive plants to herb, without artificial intervention, vegetation restoration progress is very slow.3) through ecology observation, on-the-spot investigation, and laboratory test method, system testing of various types of stone coal research of soil physical properties and soil nutrient changes, come to vegetation restoration on coal and rock soil improvement benefit is remarkable, especially in soil can improve effective elements.4) complete combustion of coal gangue on available nutrients and nutrient are better than no spontaneous combustion and combustion; in the absence of spontaneous combustion gangue, coal gangue vegetation nutrient condition better than no vegetation.5) along with the row of research life goes on, coal gangue of available nutrients increased. The vegetation of stone coal research of nutrient superior without vegetation of stone coal research, that vegetation can accelerate gangue weathering soil forming process.
