By the tissue culture and field cultivation,"Xindaping”varieties as materials, thetest set six calcium levels for tissue culture and four fertilizer levels for field. Westudy: effects of calcium on the growth of potato plant and tuber quality. For the bestcalcium levels in MS for potato tissue culture and fertilizer levels in field,it willprovide theoretical basis. The main results were as follows:1Ca free medium make test-tube plantlet growth vigor weak,plant height,number offunctional nodes,leaf number,fresh and dry weight,soluble sugar and protein contentdropped sharply than3mM(MS standard Ca concentration.When MS culture mediumadded different concentration of calcium chloride, the above indexes showed a trendof first increase then decrease, all indexes of9mM performance is best. The resultsshowed that MS culture medium added9mM calcium chloride is best Ca conCentrati-on of potato test-tube plantlet(cv xindaping)growth.2. Calcium free medium, the formation and growth of microtuber is restrained, qualityhas fallen sharply than MS medium(standard level). Increasing Calcium level of MSmedium can make quality improve gradually than MS standard calcium level. Whencalcium level is more than9mM,, tube potato related indexes fell. The9mM ofcalcium levels is the best calcium level for inducing microtuber..3. In the field conditions, increasing calcium level enhanced plant growth, increasedchlorophyll content and soluble protein content of potato leaves,reduced the MDAcontent, delayed the senescence of leaves,and established a foundation for yieldincrease. The20kg/hm2level is the optimal treatment in the test..4. Under the condition of field, adding calcium fertilizer application improve tuberqulity. The effect of calcium fertilizer were better than control, the20kg/hm2treatment were best.5. Increaseing tuber calcium concentration reduce tuber physiological diseaserate,tuber qulity better than control in storage. When medium calcium levels is9mM,the tuber physiological disease rate is the lowest,tuber concentration is maximumunder tuber tissue culture conditions; and when calcium fertilizer is20kg/hm2, thetuber qulity is best in storage and tuber physiological disease rate is lowest thancontrol.
