Purpose: One month before the beef cattle being slaughtered was the fatteningperiod, which is mainly in fat deposition, loss of appetite, gaining weight slowerrelatively. Fattening is the critical period to improve the rate of beef cattle slaughter, toensure the safety of beef and to get the highest live weight, which is also an importantperiod to receive higher price of fattening cattle and achieve the highest efficiency.Combined with the characteristics of fattening beef cattle, we drawn up the additiveproposed to made Cuifeiyizhisan Adding to the beef cattle s’ diets. Observed theweight gain of fattening beef cattle and meat quality, and explored the optimal amountof additives, so as to find out the green pollution-free beef cattle feed additivesmaking the fattening cattle Efficiency and safety.Methods:50healthy beef cattle with similar weight about500kg were choosedand randomly divided into5groups according to the complete block design. group I,group II, group III were added in the basal diet supplemented with100g/day,150g/day and200g/day of traditional Chinese medicine. Group IV was the probioticscontrol group, the diet added probiotics purchased from market; groupⅤ was thecontrol group, fed with basal diet. After a month’s fattening feeding trial, weight thecows, slaughtered them, measurement the meat quality and analysis economic benefits.Results:1. The impact of traditional Chinese medicine cuifeiyizhisan on weightgain of the fattening later beef cattle. The TCM group’s total weight gain of fatteningbeef cattle is better than the control group. There were significant differences (P <0.05)between group Ⅱ, Ⅲ group and the control group, The differences of group Icompared with the control group was not significant (P>0.05) and not better than theprobiotics group. Carcass weight of TCM group Ⅱ, Ⅲ compared with the controlgroup, the difference was significant (P <0.01), while the group I compared with the control group, the difference was not significant (P>0.05). The slaughter rate of groupII, III group compared with the control group, the difference was significant (P <0.05),the group I compared with the control group, the difference was not significant (P>0.05).2. The impact of traditional Chinese medicine cuifeiyizhisan on meat quality of thefattening later beef cattle. Compared with the control group, the marble score, shearforce, water holding capacity, crude fat, crude protein content of the TCM group II andgroup III were significantly better than the control group, meat color, marble score andcrude protein content of Chinese medicine groupⅠ were significantly better than thecontrol group. The crude protein content of three TCM group compared with thecontrol group, the difference were significantly improved. The other parameters had nosignificantly differences. Chinese medicine group compared with the probiotics group, the crude fat content had significant difference, while there were no significantdifferences in other indicators.3. Economic benefit analysis. The TCM group compared with the control group, the slaughter rate of group II and group III were improved, so that the beef cattle pricewas increased. Average daily net profit of the TCM group compared with the controlgroup increased by-0.844yuan,0.402yuan and0.304yuan, but less than probioticsgroup’ net income. Conclusion: The results show that adding150g Cuifeiyizhisan in dietary daily canpromote weight gain of fattening later beef and improve the quality of meat, creategreater economic efficiency. Cuifeiyizhisant is worth popularizing as a new greenpollution-free beef cattle feed additive.
