In this paper, we studied drought resistance identification parameters system of maizecultivars under completely mulched alternating narrow and wide ridges with furrow planting inrain-fed area. Through the selection of six different drought-resistant varieties of maizecultivated in the field, we studied drought resistance from four morphological indicators, sevengrowth and development indicators, seven physiological and biochemical indicators, eightproduction-related indicators in different periods, the drought resistance of maize has beensystematically studied and established cultivars drought resistance identification parameterssystem, and then we identified sixteen cultivars of maize drought resistance by this system,according to the different cultivars of drought resistance performance and16cultivars of cornmulti-point test results to make a preliminary comparison conclusion, The main results of thisstudy were as follows:1. According to the change of morphological indicators, growth and developmentindicators, physiological and biochemical indicators and production index in different growthstages, the results showed that: the sensitivity index of drought stress is different maize undercompletely mulched alternating narrow and wide ridges with furrow planting in differentperiods, different cultivars to drought stress sensitivity index is also not the same. Aftercorrelation analysis, screening out the ground dry matter accumulation, RWC, MDA contentand CAT activity in seedling stage; the leaf water loss rate and soluble sugar content, CATactivity in jointing stage; the ground dry matter accumulation, the leaf rolling index in flareopening stage; the plant height, ASI,SOD and POD activity in tasseling stage; the leaf area perplant, the leaf rolling index and RWC in filling stage; the ear length, the kernel weight per ear,the ear weight per plant and the leaf senescence index in maturation stage, the relative value ofindexes were correlated with drought resistance coefficient or drought resistance index atp≤0.05and p≤0.01level, other growth stages indexes relative value and the coefficient ofdrought or drought index related but not significant. We screened out these indicators constitutethe main reference index of cultivars of drought resistance identification maize undercompletely mulched alternating narrow and wide ridges with furrow planting in rain-fed area.2.Application of drought-resistance evaluation equation (D value), we have establisheddifferent growth stages of the completely mulched alternating narrow and wide ridges withfurrow planting maize cultivars drought resistance assessment index system. According to thescreened indexes, we selected five indexes that they were larger coefficient of partial correlationand drought coefficient: filling stage of leaf area relative value (X3), seedling stage dry matteraccumulation relative value (X5), maturation stage of leaf senescence index relative value(X7),the relative value of kernel weight per ear (X24) and ear weight per plant relative value (X26) as parameters,to establish the completely mulched alternating narrow and wide ridges with furrowplanting maize cultivars whole growth period of drought resistance assessment index system:D=0.319X3+0.152X5-0.102X7+0.209X24+0.218X26.3. Application of drought resistance identification index system and clusteringmethodology, we studied drought resistance identification and classification of16maizecultivars, maize drought resistance is not the same in different growth stages, the whole growthperiod of drought resistance in terms of the overall performance of the classification results:Xingda1, Shendan16, Gannong340, Dengyi2, Jinkai5489, Yuyu22, Dengyi1, belonging tothe high drought resistance type cultivars; Jinkai289, Xingda3,Pingyu8,Gannong254,Ganzhong G1103, belonging to moderate drought type cultivars; Xianyu335,Jixiang1,GanzhongG1003, Zhengdan958, belonging to low drought type cultivars,16maize drought resistanceperformance classification results and according to the classification of the drought coefficientresults are basically the same.4.The completely mulched alternating narrow and wide ridges with furrow planting maizecultivars comparison test in rain-fed area,16cultivars of corn overall performance four areas inGansu Province, relatively Jinkai5489, Shendan16, Dengyi1, Yuyu22, Xingda1, Dengyi2, ishigh-yielding drought-resistant cultivars, but the disease of Shen dan16and Yu yu22is seriousin the late growth stage; Jixiang1,Xianyu335, Pingyu8, Zhengdan958, Jinkai289,performance relatively weak of drought resistance, the yield is less than Shendan16,GanzhongG1103, Xingda3and Ganzhong G1003directly eliminated; Gannong340andGannong254cultivars of drought resistance better and growth period shorter than the control, itis recommended that maize precocious block experiment for further cultivars comparison test.In short, The completely mulched alternating narrow and wide ridges with furrow plantingmaize cultivar drought resistance assessment index system and multi-species test results, to do amore comprehensive study of16maize cultivars, and provide a theoretical reference for thepilot demonstration and popularization about the completely mulched alternating narrow andwide ridges with furrow planting maize cultivars in the future.
