In the research,we analyzed the most common discus, Solid RedDiscus、Red Spotted Green Discus and Pigeon Blood Discus. Weanalyzed biological information and built the discriminant equations.Measure total length、length of body、width of body、height of head、width of head、length of snout、length of eye、front height of the eyeedge、back height of the eye edge、length of ventral fin、length of caudalpeduncle、height of caudal peduncle、length of pectoral fin、height ofpectoral fin、length of caudal fin、height of caudal fin、height of dorsal fin、length of dorsal fin、length of anal fin、height of anal fin、height ofbody.Analyzed22measured characteristics with principal componentsand21scaling characteristics with R-cluster. In order to test significantdifference of characteristics between male and female,we analyzed21scaling characteristics with t test. Based on the analysis above, discriminant equations were built. The content of this research include:1.Analysis of Shape Index and Discriminant of Male and Female ofSolid RedIn this study,we analyzed biological information of138Solid Red andbuilt the discriminant equations. Based on the analysis of themorphological index system of Solid Red with principal components and R-cluster. Analysis the results indicated that Solid Red could classed by"body size"," width of head " and "length and width of fin". The results of21standardization characteristics both indicated that there were nosignificant difference. Thus the discriminant equations were built basedon21standardization characteristics and accuracy rate was80.2%. Furthermore, the other fish of Solid Red were also classified bythis model and the success rate was84.4%.2.Analysis of Shape Index and Discriminant of Male and Female ofRed Spotted Green DiscusIn this study,we analyzed biological information of137Red SpottedGreen Discus and built the discriminant equations. Based on the analysisof the morphological index system of Red Spotted Green Discuswithprincipal components and R-cluster. Analysis the results indicatedthat Red Spotted Green Discus could classed by" width of head ","snoutlength and length of caudal peduncle" and "length and width of fin andhorizontal eye diameter". The results of21standardization characteristicsboth indicated that there were significant differences between hength ofhead/length of head、 front height of the eye edge/length of head andback height of the eye edge/length of head. Thus the discriminantequations were built based on21standardization characteristics andaccuracy rate was92.5%. Furthermore, the other fish of Red Spotted Green Discus were also classified by this model and the success ratewas90.9%.3.Analysis of Shape Index and Discriminant of Male and Female ofPigeon Blood DiscusIn this study,we analyzed biological information of125Pigeon BloodDiscus and built the discriminant equations. Based on the analysis of themorphological index system of Pigeon Blood Discus withprincipalcomponents and R-cluster. Analysis the results indicated that PigeonBlood Discus could classed by" feature of head "," length of caudalpeduncle and length of pectoral fins" and "length of pelvic fin and frontheight of the eye edge". The results of21standardization characteristicsboth indicated that there were no significant difference. Thus thediscriminant equations were built based on21standardizationcharacteristics and accuracy rate was83.1%. Furthermore, the other fishof Pigeon Blood Discus were also classified by this model and thesuccess rate was80.6%....
