In this research, the single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of IGFBP-5gene were detected by Sequencing technology, and then genotyping of162rabbits including Champagne rabbits, Ira rabbits, Tianfu black rabbits. One SNP were found in IGFBP-5gene amplified fragment of exon1, located in309bp of the coding sequence and G>A transition occurred (c.309G>A). There is not have AA genotype in three breeds. The genotype frequencies across the three breeds were0.7469for GG genotype and0.2531for GA genotype. Tianfu black rabbit with the predominant genotype of GA (0.6363), while the Champagne rabbits and Ira rabbit with the dominant genotype of GG (0.8472and0.8421). The allele frequencies across the three breeds were0.8735for allele G and0.1265for allele A. Tianfu black rabbit have the moderate polymorphism, the PIC is0.346. Tianfu black rabbit with a rapid post-growth rate,70days of age and84days of age body weight was significantly higher than Champagne rabbits and Iraq rabbit, eviscerated and eviscerated weight also significantly higher than Champagne rabbits and Ira rabbit. In addition, the Tianfu black rabbit with a higher intramuscular fat content. The correlation between different IGFBP-5gene c.309G>A genotype and growth traits and carcass traits were analyzed. The results showed that only the pH of Leg muscle after slaughter45min with the GA genotype was significantly higher than the GG genotype, IGFBP-5gene c.309G> A genotype have not significantly effect on other production performance. However, the post-growth rate, eviscerated and carcass weight, intramuscular fat content in GA genotype is higher than the GG genotype. Combined with the Tianfu black rabbit with the dominant genotype of GA genotype, and Tianfu black rabbit have faster late growth rate, higher eviscerated and semi-eviscerated weight, intramuscular fat content. Therefore, the c.309G> A SNP GA genotype of IGFBP-5gene can affect the rabbit growth and development, slaughter performance and meat quality traits.
