In this study,0-4weeks old block large Gushi as test animals, In order toinvestigate different levels of dietary selenium and vitamin E on chick growthperformance and immune function in immune stress conditions. Aims to explore thelevel of selenium and vitamin E on the regulation of immune and anti-stress inimmune stress conditions, and the selenium and Vitamin E added level of adaptation.Trail1Effects of different levels of selenium and vitamin E on growthperformance of Gushi chickA total of576one-day-old healthy Gushi male chicks were randomly dividedinto12groups with4replications per group, supplemented with three levels ofselenium at a dose of0,0.3,0.6mg/kg, the four levels of VE at a dose of0,50,100,200mg/kg. Determine the indicators of growth performance every weekend. Theresults showed that there was no significant difference on the average feed intake, average daily gain, feed conversion and the death and elimination rate of the differenttreatments.Trail2Effects of different levels of selenium and vitamin E on antioxidantproperties of organ of Gushi chick in immune stress conditionsEach repetition of12chickens were randomly divided into two groups(Controlgroup and stress group). On the23rd,25rd and27day of age, chicks were injectedLPS with500μg/kg BW of LPS in stress and with saline in control treatment. Afterthe third injection24hours, pick a chicken from each of the two groups of each repeat, the heart blood serum was separated and saved at-20°C. Determine the activity ofglutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and content ofmalondialdehyde (MDA) in serum. Remove the liver and saved at-20°C. Determinethe activity of glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), superoxide dismutase (SOD) andcontent of malondialdehyde (MDA) in liver. Then, Scrapin the intestinal mucosa inorder to product the mucosal homogenate. The concentration of NO and the activityof NOS in mucosal homogenate were measured. The results showed that effect ofdietary selenium on serum GSH-Px and MDA were significantly(P<0.05).Add0.3mg/Kg of selenium, the activity of serum GSH-Px increased significantly (P<0.05);add0.6mg/Kg of selenium, the content of serum MDA decreased significantly (P<0.05). With the addition of VE increased, the serum GSH-Px and SOD activityincreased, but the difference was not significant. With the increase of amount ofselenium in the liver, increased GSH-Px and SOD activity. Add0.6mg/Kgselenium,liver MDA content reaches the minimum. The addition of selenium and VEcan effectively reduce the NO content and NOS activity in duodenum, jejunum andileum. The0.6mg/Kg content of selenium and vitamin200mg/Kg E make NO contentand NOS activity reached the lowest value.Trail3Effects of different levels of selenium and vitamin E on immunefunction of Gushi chick in immune stress conditionsExperimental animals and stress management methods as test2. After the thirdinjection24hours, pick a chicken from each of the two groups of each repeat, theheart blood serum was separated and saved at-20°C. The immune organ index and theserum concentration of ACTH, IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, CD4+and CD8+were measured. The results showed that With the increase addition of Se and VE, immune organweight showed a rising trend. The addition of selenium and VE can significantlydecrease the concentration of ACTH, adding amount of selenium and200mg/Kg0.3mg/Kg, serum ACTH quantity to reach the lowest. The addition of selenium couldsignificantly increase the CD4+level,0.6mg/Kg content of selenium and100mg/KgVE can make CD4+and CD8+levels to achieve the best. With the increaseof selenium content, serum TNF-α, IL-1and IL-6content decreased significantly,0.3mg/kg IL-1minimum,0.6mg/kg TNF-α and IL-6is the lowest. With the additionof VE increased, TNF-α and decreased the content of IL-6,100mg/kg both reachedthe lowest.
