| In order to improve the production performance of Gushi and Guangxi yao chickens,this study selected Gushi chickens(G lines),Guangxi Yao chickens(Y lines)and breeding lines of A,R,M and H series to create hybridization assay tests,with forming five crossbred combinations,which were designated as GA,YR,YMH,YRH and YG,respectively.And Gushi chickens were established as the Purebred group(G).To filter out the best crosses and provide references for studying and utilizing of the Gushi and Guangxi Yao chickens.We analyzed the body size traits,production performances,slaughter performances,meat quality and serum biochemical indexes among the different hybrids and the effects of introducting dwarf gene on fat deposition,intestinal growth and gonadal development of Gushi chickens.Trial 1 Comparisions on the crosses of Gushi chickensGushi chickens were utilized to hybridize with A and Y,which were named as GA,YG and the purebred group(G),respectively.The results are fellowed:1)Body size traits and growth performance: the crown development of YG and GA are better at different days.Metatarsus length and metatarsus circumference exhibite that GA>G>YG,GA>YG>G,respectively.The average weight of hybrids between different combinations is significantly different(P<0.05),the average daily gain and feed conversion rate of GA and YG are significantly higher than G.(P<0.05).2)Slaughter performance: among different combinations,the slaughter rate,abdominal fat rate,sebum thickness and width of intermuscular fat band of GA are significantly higher than G(P<0.05).Between different sexes,the slaughter rate,abdominal fat rate,breast muscle rate,sebum thickness,width of intermuscular fat band of females are significantly higher than males(P<0.05),the leg muscle rate of males is significantly higher than females(P<0.05).3)Meat quality traits: Among different combinations,the muscle fiber density of GA is lower than G(P<0.05),while the PH values of G and YG are significantly lower than GA(P<0.05).GA has the highest intramuscular fat content.Between different sexes,the muscle fiber density of males is higher than females,and their PH values are higher than males,but most of the differences were not significant(P>0.05).4)Serum biochemical indexes: among different combinations,the glucose content of G females is significantly higher than GA and YG females(P<0.05),while GA and G females were significantly higher than YG(P<0.05).Between different sexes,the total protein and calcium of females is higher than males.performances,the p H in breast muscle and leg muscle,the intramuscular fat content of Gushi chicken,but there is no significant improvement in meat production.Trial 2 Comparisions on the crosses of Guangxi Yao chickenswere named as YG,YR,YRH,YMH,respectively.The results are fellowed:1)Body size traits and growth performance: the crown development of YR is better,the metatarsus length and metatarsus circumference of YR,YRH,YMH,YG are not significantly different.The average weight in different combinations is significantly different(P<0.05),the weight,average daily gain and feed conversion rate of YR and YRH are significantly higher than YMH(P<0.05).2)Slaughter performance: Among different breeds,just for males,the slaughter rate,semi-eviscerated rate,eviscerated rate,and width of intermuscular fat band of YRH are higher.But for females,the slaughter rate,semi-eviscerated rate and eviscerated rate of YR are significantly higher than YRH(P<0.05).3)Meat quality: Among different combinations,the PH values of YRH in pectoral muscle and leg muscle are the lowest,the intramuscular fat content of YR is highest,while most of the other indexes are not significantly different(P>0.05).Between different sexes,the PH values of pectoral muscle in YRH females were higher than that in males(P<0.05).4)Serum biochemical indexes: Among different combinations,the triglyceride levels of YRH and YG are significant higher than YR and YMH in females(P<0.05).Between different sexes,the contents of triglyceride in YR and YRH females are higher than that in males(P>0.05).In general,the combinations of YR can improve crown development,production performances and the intramuscular fat content in pectoral of Guangxi Yao chickens,YR and YRH both contribute to the improvement of meat performance.Trial 3 Comparisons of GA and G on fat deposition,gonadal and intestinal developmentThe results are fellowed:1)Fat deposition: the fat deposition of GA is higher than G.After 90 days,the abdominal fat weight of GA increase significantly(P<0.05),and the fat deposition of G in females is higher than that in males.2)Intestinal development: on the whole,the length of the small intestine in GA combination is greater than G’s.3)Gonadal development: GA and G have no significant difference in gonad development from 60 days to 90 days,while GA is significantly higher than G from90 to 120 days(P<0.05).Comprehensive evaluation,the fat deposition and gonadal development of GA were higher than G’s. |
