| Chinese sand pear with red skinned fruit have been discovered in Yunnan Provinceand southern part of Sichuan Province.As red color meets the aesthetic values andconsumer demands,red skinned pears distributed widely through out China in a shorttime.One red Chinese sand pear cultivars ‘Mantianhong’ was selected to investigate thecharacteristics of fruit development under natural conditions and effects of the differentpotassium and boron elements treatment on fruit development,especially with a view tofruit coloration.1. The content of anthocyanin of mantianhong pear was increased at the beginning offruit coloration period to harvest, but the concentration of carotenoid was too small todetect.There was a marked negative correlation between the content of anthocyanin andChl, the carotenoid showed a marked positive correlation with anthocyanin.The contentsof total sugarsã€fructoseã€sucrose increased gradually in fruit coloration period, but totalsugars and fructose decreased at harvest. There was a extra marked positive correlationbetween the content of anthocyanin and sucrose, the total sugar and fructose of pericarpshowed a marked correlation with anthocyanin.2. After foliage spraying with different levels of potassium and boron elements, theanthocyanin contents of pericarp were increased, but had no obvious impact on Chl. andcarotenoid contents of the pear cultivar. Spraying potassium and boron elements wouldimprove coloration index,and increase the soluble sugar and soluble solids content, butboron elements treatment had no obvious impact on the soluble sugar and soluble solidscontent of fruit.3. The boron can improve nutrient conditions of trees,the effects on fertilizertreatments alone of improving fruit quality were better than the mixed fertilizationtreatments. The boron elements treatment could promote the absorption of Mgã€B and K.High concentration of boron have disadvantage of the absorption of Ca. The mixedfertilization treatment was conducive to absorb Fe elements for Mantianhong trees. |
