The Research On Green Landscape Design Of The Highway In Tibet

After more than20years of rapid development, the mileage of China’s highway has been ranked second in the world. But most of the highway projects focused exclusively on the engineering, ignored the green landscape design, visual and psychological feelings of the passengers and the Residents living along the roads. The ecological environment, landscape and living environment surrounding the roads are deteriorating and ecological landscape quality along the road has been significantly affected. And it is not conducive to the coordination between the road construction and ecological landscape environment and sustainable development.Tibet is located in China’s Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and its highway construction is significant for this area and our country. Due to the very bad natural conditions, it is greatly difficult to construct highway and green landscape in Tibet because there is few design and construction model for referencing. Therefore, it is very necessary to study the theory and methods of the green of highway, improve the deficiencies of the present highway green landscape design and promote t sustainable development of highway green landscape and the ecological environment of highway region.This paper has done in-depth research on the highway green landscape design and the main contents are as follows:(1) The literature synthesis method was used to analyze the background and significance of the highway green landscape design, the history and the status quo at home and abroad and the shortcomings of the highway green landscape design in China.(2) After analyzing a large number of highway green landscape design research literature and cases, the role of highway green landscape design, ideas, features, design principles, design elements, design methods, theoretical foundation and other related content are summarizes.(3) The status and problems of the Tibet’s highway green landscape design and construction were analyzed and summarized.(4) Based on the Project of Green Landscape Design of the Dedicated Highway from Lhasa to Gunga Airport of the Tibet Autonomous Region, this paper completed the green landscape design program of the highway. In the design process, landscape ecology, vegetation science, landscape aesthetics, ecological restoration theory and field survey methods were utilized. The characteristics of natural environment, cultural and the road landscape along the highway were also considered. The project has provided practical experience of highway green landscape design for Tibet and other cold areas in the future.
