The grassland ecosystem is one of the most important and widely distributed ecosystem types in terrestrial ecosystems and playing an important role in the worldwide carbon cycle. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is an essential component of the grassland ecosystem, because of this special geographical location and climate change of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, it direct impact of the carbon cycle of grassland ecosystem in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and even the global carbon cycle. Although many experts have a lot of research of grassland carbon storage in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, however, due to the high altitude, wide area, hard-working conditions of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, so it is difficult to carry out the research work. The existing research focused on the aboveground vegetation of grassland, lacking of depth research of litter, root and soil carbon storage of grassland. Therefore, systematic study the carbon storage of grassland ecosystem in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is important.In this article, we, mainly analysis the vegetation and soil carbon storage of the grassland under different land uses in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, The samples of this investigation include eighteen experimental fields, which are fenced mowing grassland, artificial grassland, winter and spring grazing meadowland, summer and autumn mild grazing land, summer and autumn moderate grazing pasture and summer and autumn severe grazing land; each type of grassland has three samples. Soil sampling is divided into seven levels, namely,0~5cm,5~10cm,10~20cm,20~3Ocm,30~50cm,50-70cm and70-100cm; Root sampling is divided into four levels, for instance,0~5cm,5~10cm,10-20cm and20-30cm. Determine the carbon content in the laboratory, to analyze the characteristics of carbon storage of grassland under different land uses. The experimental results are as follows: 1. The soil carbon storage between the different land uses of the grassland has important difference (P<0.05), and summer and autumn mild grazing land> summer and autumn severe grazing land> winter and spring grazing meadowland> fenced mowing grassland> summer and autumn moderate grazing pasture> artificial grassland; the soil carbon storage of grassland consistently shows a decreasing tendency from the surface to the bottom of the gradient, and have significant difference between the layers.2. The aboveground vegetation carbon storage between the different land uses of the grassland has significant difference (P<0.05), and fenced mowing grassland> winter and spring grazing meadowland> summer and autumn mild grazing land> artificial grassland> summer and autumn moderate grazing pasture> summer and autumn severe grazing land.3. The root carbon storage between the different land uses of the grassland has momentous difference (P<0.05), and summer and autumn moderate grazing pasture> summer and autumn mild grazing land> fenced mowing grassland> summer and autumn severe grazing land> winter and spring grazing meadowland> artificial grassland; the root carbon storage of grassland consistently shows a decreasing tendency from the surface to the bottom of the gradient, and have significant difference between the layers.4. The litter carbon storage between the different land uses of the grassland has significant difference (P<0.05), and artificial grassland> winter and spring grazing meadowland> fenced mowing grassland> summer and autumn moderate grazing pasture> summer and autumn mild grazing land> summer and autumn severe grazing land.5. Soil carbon storage of grassland under different land use and degree is significantly higher than vegetation carbon storage; aboveground vegetation carbon storage is higher than root carbon storage; surface soil carbon storage is about forty percent of total soil carbon storage.In summary, carbon storage between the grassland under different land use and degree has significant difference. It is shown that summer and autumn mild grazing land> summer and autumn severe grazing land> winter and spring grazing meadowland> fenced mowing grassland> artificial grassland> summer and autumn moderate grazing pasture. In the grassland under different land use pattern, the highest carbon storage is winter and spring grazing meadowland, the lowest carbon storage is artificial grassland; in the grassland under different degree of use, the highest carbon storage is summer and autumn mild grazing land, the lowest carbon storage is summer and autumn moderate grazing pasture.
