Drug-resistant strains have been on a rise recently owing to the overuse of antibioticsand chemical drugs which makes animal disease more difficult to control and treate, and the residence of drugs in animal product ascending, thus putting food security, people’s health and economic development at risk. There is a severe demand todevelop new ways to cope with this situation.Microecologics is a welcomed biological product in recent years which can not onlycontrol and cure disease but also prevent animals from developing disease. In thisstudy, three strains of probiotics were used to produce a new microecologics whichwere meant to feed broilers. By evaluating its effects on broiler, we found that ournew microecologics can increase the growth rate and immunity of broiler, whichmeans higher survival rate. What’s more, our results demonstrated that this biologicalproduct was more environmental friendly. Results are summarized as follows:1. Three probiotics(Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Bacillus subtilis and Lactobacillus)was cultured and their E.coli-inhibiting and mycotoxin degrading ability in vitro wastested respectively. The amount of these three probiotics all reached108-109CFU/ml,all the probiotics were able to inhibit the growth of E.coli and the Lactobacillus is thestrongest among them. For the mycotoxin degrading ability, the Lactobacillus fallbehand Bacillussubtilis, and Saccharomycescerevisiae seems to have no effect onmycotoxin degradation.2. Microecologics is developed by mixing three probiotics at a rate of1:1:1. Sterilityand safety assays showed this product is both safe and sterile. After a three monthsstore period, the sample’s colour and PH level showed no obvious difference from thefresh products. As well, the amounts of all the three probiotics remained107-109CFU/ml, with no significant alteration from that of the fresh products.3. To further evaluate the effect of the product on broilers, three different dosage ofmicroecologics were fed to AA broilers, then a series of index including weightgaining, feed conversion rate, death rate, ND antibody titer, the concentration of IL-4 and IFN-γ and immunity organ index were compared with those of antibiotics groupsand control groups. The results showed that all the groups fed microecologicsexceled control groups(2.26) and antibiotics groups in the performance for weightgaining and feed conversion rate, with moderate dosage group having the besteffect(1.84). At the same time, all experimental groups have a lower death rates thanthat of control groups(90%) and antibiotics groups(92%).. All experimental groups of6-day-old broiler possess higher ND antibody titer than that of control groups andantibiotics groups with a significant difference(P<0.05), and middle dosage groupshad the highest antibody titer. As well, all experimental groups show higher level ofinterferonâ€Î³and interleukin-4in serum. The spleen index and bursal index forexperimental groups also were higher than the controls (P<0.05).At last, deodorantassay presents that this microecologics can reduce the ammonia in dung which meansa better environment. |
