For exploring the degradation characteristics and its influence mechanism of infiltrationprocesses in the sloping farmland in a typical small watershed of rocky mountainous area inthe middle of Shandong Province, the theories and methods of soil fractal and hydrology wereused to analyse the soil infiltration and its quantitative relation with soil particle-size and poredimension for four kinds of land use types, including sloping land, abandoned farmlandconversion(abandoned1a,4a,9a), ecological forest and economic forest. To present soil useand Cultivation on soil structure and infiltration performance impact and reveal fractaldimension and soil bulk density, porosity and infiltration rate of the soil particles and poreunderstand soil infiltration capacity and soil particles and the pore structure of the quantitativerelationship. The results showed that:1) Soil structure and infiltration characteristics of different land use typesAmong different land use types, soil particles and pore fractal dimension, total porosity, capillary porosity of slope farmland were significantly less than the abandoned farmland, ecological forest and economic forest, expressed as ecological forest/economic forest>abandoned farmland> sloping land.Fractal dimension of soil particles and clay content, silt content showed a highlysignificant positive correlation; with sand content showed a significant negative correlation;and gravel content showed no significant correlation; and soil bulk density, non-capillaryporosity showed a significant negative correlation; soil total porosity, capillary porosityshowed a significant positive correlation; and soil particles fractal dimension of pore fractaldimension showed a significant positive linear correlation. Soil bulk density and steadyinfiltration rate of sloping farmland was significantly higher than other land use types andexpressed as sloping> abandoned farmland> ecological forest> Economic woodland.2) Soil structure and infiltration characteristics of abandoned sloping landWith the increase of years of abandonment, soil particles and pore fractal dimension, total porosity and capillary porosity were increased as follows: abandoned farmland9a>abandoned farmland4a> abandoned farmland1a> sloping land; while the bulk density and stability infiltration rates were reduced, the specific performance of sloping land> abandonedfarmland1a> abandoned farmland4a> abandoned farmland9a.3) Relationship of soil infiltration rate with other parametersInitial infiltration rate and soil bulk density, total porosity correlation was not significant;with particle and pore fractal dimension, capillary porosity showed a significant negativecorrelation; and non-capillary porosity was a significant positive correlation. Steadyinfiltration rate and total porosity was no significant correlation with soil particles and porefractal dimension, capillary porosity was significantly negatively correlated with thenon-capillary porosity was significantly positively correlated.4) The Horton model and the power function model were more suitable to simulate thesoil infiltration process and infiltration rate. The conclusions were that the soil in this areadisplayed a typical fragment of rocky mountainous regions.
